Privacy Policy

We don't collect
anything.

Rep Jam Gig has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours for your data to sit on. What you type into the app stays on your device, and — if you switch on iCloud sync — in your own iCloud account.

What the app stores

All of it on your device

Your music library

Songs, keys, statuses, composers, jam and gig entries, set lists, review items, and the musicians you log — including any Instagram handle you choose to add. This is stored locally by the app.

Nothing else

No name, email, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID, usage analytics or crash telemetry. The app asks for no permissions and contains no third-party SDKs.

iCloud sync

Optional, and yours

Where the data goes
If you enable sync, your library is mirrored through Apple's CloudKit into your own iCloud account, so it can appear on your other devices. It is stored in your private CloudKit database. We have no access to it, cannot read it, and receive no copy.
Apple's role
Apple processes this data as part of iCloud, under Apple's own privacy policy — not ours. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
Turning it off
With sync off, nothing leaves your device at all. The app is fully functional either way.

Importing and exporting

Files you choose

CSV files
When you import a CSV, the app reads only the file you pick and writes its contents into your local library. Templates you download are generated on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Instagram handles
Tapping a musician's handle opens the Instagram app, or Instagram's website if the app isn't installed. At that point you're on Instagram and their privacy policy applies. The app doesn't contact Instagram in the background or share anything with them.

The feedback form

What the form sends
If you use the feedback form, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to us so we can reply. We keep that email as long as it takes to deal with your question, and use it for nothing else — no mailing list, no sharing, no selling.
Spam protection
To stop automated abuse, the server briefly records a one-way hash of your IP address so it can rate-limit repeated submissions, and includes your IP in the email we receive. No cookies, trackers or analytics run on this site.

Your rights, children, and changes

Deleting your data
Delete a record inside the app and it's gone; delete the app and its local data goes with it. To remove synced data, turn off iCloud sync or delete the app's data from iCloud in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because we never hold your library, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a future version ever collected anything, that would be described here plainly and before it took effect.
