Privacy Policy
We don't collect
anything.
Rep Jam Gig has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours for your data to sit on. What you type into the app stays on your device — and on iPhone and iPad, if you switch on iCloud sync, in your own iCloud account as well.

What the app stores
All of it on your device
Your music library
Songs, keys, statuses, composers, jam and gig entries, set lists, review items, and the musicians you log — including any Instagram handle you choose to add. This is stored locally by the app.
Nothing else
No name, email, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID, usage analytics or crash telemetry. It never asks for your location, contacts, microphone or photo library.
iCloud sync
iOS only — optional, and yours
This section applies to the iPhone and iPad app. The Android app has no cloud sync feature at all — there is no option to sync, and the app sends nothing itself.
- Where the data goes
- If you enable sync, your library is mirrored through Apple's CloudKit into your own iCloud account, so it can appear on your other devices. It is stored in your private CloudKit database. We have no access to it, cannot read it, and receive no copy.
- Apple's role
- Apple processes this data as part of iCloud, under Apple's own privacy policy — not ours. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Turning it off
- With sync off, the app itself sends nothing. Your device's own backup — iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, Google backup on Android — may still include the app's data in your own account; both are controlled in your device's settings. The app is fully functional either way. Turning off iCloud for Rep Jam Gig, or signing out of iCloud, also makes iOS remove the synced library from that device. It stays in your iCloud and comes back when iCloud is on again for the app — so wait for it rather than importing a backup, which would leave two copies.
Importing and exporting
Files you choose
- CSV files
- When you import a CSV, the app reads only the file you pick and writes its contents into your local library. Templates you download are generated on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Instagram handles
- Tapping a musician's handle opens the Instagram app, or Instagram's website if the app isn't installed. At that point you're on Instagram and their privacy policy applies. The app doesn't contact Instagram in the background or share anything with them.

The feedback form
- What the form sends
- If you use the feedback form, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to us so we can reply. We keep that email as long as it takes to deal with your question, and use it for nothing else — no mailing list, no sharing, no selling.
- Spam protection
- To stop automated abuse, the server briefly records a one-way hash of your IP address so it can rate-limit repeated submissions, and includes your IP in the email we receive. No cookies, trackers or analytics run on this site.
Your rights, children, and changes
- Deleting your data
- Delete a record inside the app and it's gone; delete the app and its local data goes with it. On iPhone and iPad, to remove synced data, delete the app's data from iCloud in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Turning off iCloud sync removes the library from that device only; the copy in iCloud stays. If your device backs the app up, remove that copy where you manage your device backups. Because we never hold your library, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
- Children
- The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
- Changes to this policy
- If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a future version ever collected anything, that would be described here plainly and before it took effect.
